We’re “Rawr”ing to Go!
Lions and Tigers and Photos Oh My!
Mercantil Commercebank's 2012 Zoolens Photography Project is preparing for launch. Middle School students of the public and private schools of Miami-Dade County get your cameras ready to participate in this month-long contest. This is a great opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of our world’s wildlife through the beautiful art of photography! Capture the moment and let the world see it the way you do.
How do I Enter?
Explore your wild side and send an artistic photograph of an animal from Zoo Miami. From the king of the jungle to the smallest of insects, each entry should be submitted with a signed parent/legal guardian consent form through a teacher to the Mercantil Commercebank Zoolens Photography Project 2012. Students may also bring their entries to any Mercantil Commercebank banking center. The forms needed may be downloaded from this website.
Why Photos of Wildlife?
The contest was created and designed to foster a deeper understanding of the rare beauty that wildlife possesses. By spending time observing the animals and capturing them on film, we want the students to appreciate and value what nature has to offer. Zoolens provides a wonderful space where students can express their creativity through photography, while strengthening their education. The program is sponsored by Mercantil Commercebank, in partnership with Zoo Miami, the Zoological Society of Florida, and the North American Nature Photography Association.
